Absolutely — you will never be left guessing! 95% of our clients have never done a boudoir shoot before. When you shoot with Life Portraits, you are getting an expert director. We pose you down to your fingertips, show you exactly where to look, and guide you through every single movement. You don't need to know how to be a model; you just need to show up, and we will handle the rest.

We highly recommend it! Having your hair and makeup professionally styled not only ensures you look flawless under professional studio and flash lighting, but it also gives you an incredible confidence boost before you even step in front of the lens. It turns the day into a true pampering experience and takes all the "getting ready" stress right off your shoulders.

A natural to dark spray tan can look beautiful on camera, but there are a few rules! If you choose to get one, we recommend having it applied one or two days before your shoot. This gives it time to settle, lets you shower off the excess bronzer, and prevents it from looking streaky or transferring onto your outfits. You can do an at home tan or professional.

You do not have to wear traditional lingerie if it doesn't feel like "you"! We want you to wear whatever makes you feel powerful. Bring a whole suitcase of options: lace bodysuits, matching bra and underwear sets, an oversized white button-down shirt, a sharp blazer, or even a vintage band tee. During our planning phase, we will help you curate the perfect wardrobe, and on the day, we will mix and match your pieces to create a variety of stunning looks.

First and foremost: your privacy is 100% guaranteed. We will NEVER share your images online without your explicit, written permission. Your gallery is for your eyes only. As for retouching, our philosophy is all about celebrating real women. We use professional lighting and expert posing to flatter your natural shape and make you look incredible in-camera. We polish the final images (color grading, removing temporary bruises or blemishes), but we will never artificially morph or alter your beautiful body.
