Selling fitness apparel online is a fiercely competitive game. When your customers are scrolling Instagram or browsing your website, they can’t feel the buttery-soft fabric, they can’t check the compression, and they definitely can’t test if the leggings are actually squat-proof.
The only thing doing the heavy lifting for your sales? Your visual marketing.
If your product imagery consists of stiff, lifeless mannequins or awkward, uninspired posing, your ideal customers are going to scroll right past. To sell activewear, you have to sell the lifestyle, the movement, and the energy behind the brand.
That is exactly what we set out to do when the incredible team at Strength Sanctuary brought Life Portraits on board to shoot their latest fitness clothing range.
BRIEF: Strength Sanctuary wanted to capture their new fitness range for their gym, Sanc Wear, as a clothing range this is fun, edgy, you can wear as everyday clothing as well as at the gym. They wanted to capture the full colour range and details of the products across a range of models, male and female.
PHOTOSHOOT: We created a huge variety of imagery over a 2 hour period, capturing each coloured piece as a stand alone in many different poses as well as some more creative looks with lighting and cars, and in the gym. Watch our behind the scenes video below.

Strength Sanctuary walked away with a comprehensive, premium gallery of commercial imagery ready for immediate deployment across their website, email marketing, and social media campaigns.

I love working with creatives!
In particular, last week I got to work with the lovely Jesse on her boho luxe, eco-inspired jewellery label “Wild Hart”. We created some beautiful lifestyle imagery, product content, flatlays and detailed product shots for her brand, ready to launch on the 15 December.
The thing I love most about her brand is the handmade, uniqueness of each piece. Jesse sources the flowers locally from the flower market and creates these one of a kind pieces. The first collection ready to launch in late December is called “Gaia” - a symbolism of Mother Earth, celebrating the beauty around us and the beauty within. The pieces are designed to encapsulate this and are so striking to the eye!
