The Brookfield Long Lunch - A Day Out to Remember: Brisbane Event Photography

What a beautiful day out at the Brookfield Long Lunch! I think next time instead of photographing the event I’d like to attend it haha Held at the Brookfield Showgrounds the event is the Annual Brookfield Show Society fundraiser.

Seeing the many people walking in across the showgrounds, through the nature archway, from every corner possible with their baskets of food, blankets, beautiful outfits, it was an unreal sight to see! I love capturing the event photography for the day which included posed and candid imagery of attendees, details of the day, sponsors and the event atmosphere.

See some of the great captures of the day below, I think Andy & I will get ourselves a table next year with some of our business friends and clients :)

Behind the Scenes on a Fitness & Branding Studio Day: Brisbane Fitness Photography | Brisbane Corporate Photography

Yesterday was a lot of FUN! After giving up our studio some time ago due to doing a lot of our client work on location, we booked a full day of client work and hired the Fox Street Studio to create some magic.

We had client’s with some fun ideas that we wanted to make a reality and the studio was the perfect place to make it happen. We had fitness competitors, nutritionists for branding and health influencers and created a great array of imagery!

Check out some of the fun below. Andy and I also jumped in for a few fun shots of us too! haha

A big thanks to our helpers on the day - Bella and Dex and Fox Street Studio for a great space. Amazing job to our clients Sam, Gerard, Taylor, Tara and Teanna.

A Gym Environment Like No Other - Strength Sanctuary Stafford - Brisbane Commercial Fitness Photography

With so many gyms, franchises and personal trainer businesses around now it’s hard to find one that you’re going to love and suit your needs.

I came across Strength Sanctuary in Stafford through a friend, and from the moment I stepped into this gym, I was blown away. The environment, the equipment, the welcoming owners and members… it has it all.

Located in a large warehouse in Stafford, owners Oran and Nic created a place they always dreamed of to train - amazing equipment, great music, graffiti walls, table tennis, dogs allowed, couches and in the company of friends.

Not only is this an amazing place to train, I regularly use this as a location for my photoshoots as it’s so vibrant in it’s colours and has so much room and great equipment for my clients. They also have an outdoor area with plants and sled area also. As Oran & Nic always accommodate me and my fitness clients, I thought I would return the favour by capturing this sanctuary of theirs.

See below for some great images of their space, to find out more about them see below:

Wild Hart: Boho Luxe, Eco-Inspired, Handmade Jewellery - Brisbane Lifestyle Product Photography

I love working with creatives!

In particular, last week I got to work with the lovely Jesse on her boho luxe, eco-inspired jewellery label “Wild Hart”. We created some beautiful lifestyle imagery, product content, flatlays and detailed product shots for her brand, ready to launch on the 15 December.

The thing I love most about her brand is the handmade, uniqueness of each piece. Jesse sources the flowers locally from the flower market and creates these one of a kind pieces. The first collection ready to launch in late December is called “Gaia” - a symbolism of Mother Earth, celebrating the beauty around us and the beauty within. The pieces are designed to encapsulate this and are so striking to the eye!

Check out some of her beautiful pieces below as well as her instagram for a Christmas competition giveaway and her collections.

5 reasons why you MUST visit the Southern Downs & Granite Belt Region: A Photographers Journey

In the past month, both Andy and I have experienced just a small taste of what the beautiful Southern Downs & Granite Belt has to offer and we are BLOWN AWAY! Find out why below....

Only recently under the LP Commercial Photography brand, Andy photographed for the Southern Downs & Granite Belt Council as part of a new marketing campaign, opening my eyes to its beauty. As a result, I ventured to the region for the weekend as my partner is now working in the Tenterfield area for the next 2 years and I wanted to explore some of the amazing things the region has to offer! See some of my top reasons why you must visit the Southern Downs & Granite Belt Region below.

1

The Amazing Tours: Sit back, relax and enjoy the numerous wineries, breweries and beautiful food tours on offer around the region.

Southern Downs & Granite Belt: Brisbane Portrait and Commercial Photography

You can base yourself from a number of towns in the region - Stanthorpe, Ballandean or Tenterfield and be within close proximity, 30-45mins, to many of the highlights of the region! There are some breathtaking cottages and homely accommodation in these areas, however you have to get in quick as everything sells out quick! We were based in Tenterfield and due to the sell out in Stanthorpe and close by, we organised a tour from Tenterfield to the winery region.

I was very lucky to get in contact with Kevin from Tenterfield Tours, who picked us up from Tenterfield and took us for a private half day tour of 5 wineries in the region (only a small portion of the nearly hundred on offer!). This was the best experience and Kevin had so much knowledge and his customer service was 5 star! He's definetly worth contacting if you want to explore the region as he offers winery tours and nature tours!. Here's a little look at the 5 wineries we got to see, experience and enjoy taste testing at below.

BALANCING ROCK WINES

2

The National Parks: The perfect place to explore with the family for the weekend

There are so many national parks in the region, however we were able to explore one while visiting for the weekend, Girraween National Park. Known for its 'The Pyramids' and 'Balancing Rock' we had it down as a must see.

Located outside Stanthorpe in the Ballandean area, Girrawean is known for its huge granite boulders, it's 30km of walking and bike trails and Castle Rock or Bald Rock Creek camping areas.  We parked at the Bald Creek Day Area and walked to the amazing Granite Arch, followed by the climb up the hill to 'The Pyramid' (not for the faint hearted, it's a steep climb!) for breathtaking views over the region!

Bald Rock National Park is next on our list with the natural beauty of their smooth rock formations as well as Boonoo Boonoo National Park and falls.

3

The beautiful locations and scenery for photography: The entire Southern Downs and Granite Belt Region and Tenterfield Shire is filled with the most beautiful photographic locations and lookouts!

Between the Stanthorpe to Tenterfield regions is just glorious! Crossing the QLD border to NSW to explore another beautiful region. See some of the beautiful locations below.

4

The Breweries: Explore the new craft breweries around the region

My partner and I are brewery lovers and on a mission to visit all the breweries across QLD. The Granite Belt Brewery was on our MUST VISIT list! Set in the outskirts of Stanthrope with beautiful cottages alongside the brewery for your weekend stay, winery vines and the natural forestry surroundings, it was just beautiful! Stepping inside the brewery was like being transported into a ski lodge in Canada with the high roof wooden, cost feeling with lovely couches and welcoming feeling. Corey and I had to try the tasting paddle and ordered 4 of their beers to test the palatte. A MUST DO if you're travelling to the region. We missed out on booking here due to being sold out, but we plan to return to stay in their homely cottages with spa bath and fire! The perfect romantic weekend away!

On our next visit we plan to visit the Deepwater Brewing near Tenterfield and explore this area and national park, as well as Brass Monkey Brew House near Stanthorpe.

5

The Food: With so much on offer between the wineries, cheese factory and local restaurants you can't go wrong in the Southern Downs & Granite Belt region for food!

Showcasing your Business Services Through Professional Commercial Imagery: Shique Beauty

Ask yourself, what’s the most attention grabbing thing when someone searches for you, your company or your product? Imagery!

Your imagery reflects your brand. As a service provider, photographs of you working in your field is vital in portraying your personal brand or creating a personal connection with potential future clients.

Under the LP Commercial Photography brand, I captured some commercial branding imagery for the lovely team at Shique Beauty to capture their services, their personalised service and their friendly and 5 star customer service. Such a lovely, open and glowing group of ladies who are amazing at what they do - hair, make-up and beauty services.

The imagery that reflects your brand is the first contact many people will have with you. Simply having well taken imagery is not enough. At a glance, those images must also communicate and uphold your brand identity and core values. In a crowded marketplace identifying photographers who can achieve both stunning images and effectively communicate brand values is critical.

Get it wrong and best case scenario is you will need to spend more money on more imagery, worst case scenario is the imagery could alienate your consumers and clientele and have a real negative effect on your bottom line. Too often, people buy purely on cost then find that the cheapest option only ends up costing far more in the long run.

My business partner, Andy and I are dedicated to working hand-in-hand with our clients to ensure a rewarding and enjoyable working experience and collaboration of minds to create pride in the end result among all those involved in a commission.
